As a mom sometimes you feel like you have to dress a certain way. When I was pregnant with my son, people would tell me, “Oh you’re going to have to change your style so you’ll look more like a mom.” I never understood what that meant. Is there a specific mom style? My style has never been risqué but on occasions I’ll wear high heels… distressed jeans … or even show some skin. My style didn’t change after having kids but what I wear on a daily basis has. I had to tone it down a little; I no longer wear high heels everyday to run errands or off-the-shoulder tops just because. My outfits have conformed to anything comfortable and kid-friendly. I’ll still wear my distressed jeans but I’ll pair it with an oversized sweater and some boots with a much lower heel. So just because you’re a mom doesn’t mean you have to change who you are. Embrace your creativity and style.
